Using Our Powers For Good
The Harvey Cameron Group has had an association with the Christchurch City Mission for more than 25 years, and we’re proud to support an organisation that has championed the cause of the homeless and less fortunate since 1898.
The Mission’s website needed to be redesigned to ensure it aligned with their various fundraising campaigns. They needed a website that was mobile responsive, able to integrate a modest e-commerce portal so it could accept donation,s and was easy to edit and control at the back-end. On top of that the site needed to be ready for the launch of the Mission’s Annual Foodbank Appeal, giving us a design and build time of 2 months.
The key drivers for this project were to increase donations and bequests, increase engagement across all demographics and build awareness around the City Mission’s activities.
To achieve this we developed a strategic approach to better engage the public while making sure the look-and-feel, messaging, usability and conversion optimisation were implemented effectively.
We didn’t just want to create a beautiful site. We also wanted to create a site that inspired and moved users to make a formal commitment to the community.
Execution and Results
We launched the site on time and on budget for the start of the Mission’s appeal. The launch was a success and the SilverStripe platform has been a perfect fit for the City Mission.
